Community First: An Evening with Kast Iron’s Mug Club 🥤

This week we had the honor of being the featured guest speaker at the Kast Iron Mug Club event — an intentionally intimate gathering of soda lovers, community builders, and straight shooters who care about what they’re pouring into a glass (and who is in the room with them.)

Lesley Kline, owner of Kast Iron, has built something special in Salem, OH. Her mission is strong and simple: craft a better community. That’s a philosophy we understand deeply. When you lead with quality and integrity, good people tend to find each other.

We shared the story of Cockeye Creamery, talked shop, answered questions, and of course — brought ice cream to share. (When invited to speak, always bring dessert!) 🍨

If you haven’t visited Kast Iron yet, you should. Their craft sodas are thoughtful, nostalgic, and some are made right here in the Valley. You can explore their story, menu, and Mug Club here and follow along on their socials to see what they’re building next.

We’re proud to feature Kast Iron soda across all of our family-owned restaurants — at Franky’s Pizza, Cockeye BBQ, and both Cockeye Creamery locations in Canfield and Warren (including root beer floats made with Kast Iron root beer!)

It’s easy to align with partners who believe in doing things the right way. We’re grateful to Lesley and the Mug Club members for the warm welcome and thoughtful conversation.

And if you’re planning an event of your own, we do travel. Our on-site ice cream catering setup — complete with rolling cart and super-premium flavors — is available for private events, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations throughout the Valley.

Community first. Product first. Valley always.
